For individuals, CIGNA's monthly premium ranges from $95 to $173. For families, CIGNA's monthly premium ranges from $367 to $670.
The two most popular types of CIGNA plans in Arizona are Health Savings Accounts and Preferred Provider Organization plans.
Health Savings Accounts are accounts in which the individual or family can decide where their health care money is allocated- whether in short term uses, such as copays, or in long term uses, such as future medical expenses. These plans are for those who want to take responsibility for their health, and therefore usually choose to live a healthier lifestyle. Health Savings Accounts stay with the individual whether s/he is changing states, careers, or even marital status.
Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans are more flexible than Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans. CIGNA offers two HMO plans to residents of Arizona. Health Maintenance Organization plans, while a cheaper route to take in health insurance, are least flexible as the plans require members to use in-network health care providers such as primary care doctors, specialists and hospitals. Preferred Provider Organization plans allow members to visit out-of-network care providers at additional copay.
CIGNA also offers four Open Access plans to Arizona residents. Open Access plans give members the option to choose and in-network provider or out-of-network provider, as well as choose their Primary Care Physician (PCP) where referrals are not necessary to see out-of-network specialists.
CIGNA is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, as well as the Pacific Stock Exchange. For more information about CIGNA plans in Arizona, contact us at 877-567-5267.
