individuals. Medicaid pays for
healthcare services to individuals or groups such as families with children,
senior citizens, the disabled and low-income individuals with serious diseases.
Louisiana’s Medicaid program covers most of the same services that

immunizations, lab work, prescription drugs, rehabilitation clinic services,

High Risk Pool is a program that provides basic health coverage for Louisianans with
"pre-existing conditions" that make them uninsurable by the

Pool are Louisiana residents, not eligible for both part A and part B of
Medicare, not eligible for Medicaid or group and/or individual health insurance

to moderate income. LBCHP was formed in 2002 and has operations in Greater New
Orleans, Greater Baton Rouge, River Region, Southwest Louisiana, Northwest
Louisiana, and Northeast Louisiana.
Early detection quality services include pelvic examination for women
40-49 as well as a PAP test, clinical breast exam, and mammogram for women
50-64.
